Connecting the site with the transport vehicle
A machine leaving a workshop and a large fixture delivered to a venue can require different loading arrangements. Forklifts may assist suitable supported loads where the route and working area allow it. HIAB or crane-equipped transport can be assessed where a separate lifting interface is required.
Equipment within this category
Forklifts
Loading, unloading and internal movement of suitable equipment or supported loads.
Forklift attachments and extensions
Selected only where compatible with the equipment, load and configuration.
HIAB and crane-equipped trucks
Assessed loading, unloading or placement with vehicle setup and access included.
Counterweighted lifting equipment
Controlled alignment or placement stages where specified for the project.
Scissor lifts
A separate equipment category from scissor trolleys; assessed for the particular transfer stage.
Access details that shape the plan
Provide the load dimensions, known weight, support or lifting information and both addresses. Show vehicle approaches, loading areas, overhead clearance, doorways and the final position. Include booking windows, site contacts and restrictions supplied by the building or receiving business.
Connect the handling stages
The quote should identify the equipment, operator arrangements, truck and transfers included. Forklift extensions or attachments require compatibility with the equipment and assessed load. Where a crane-equipped vehicle or additional provider is needed, its setup and access form part of the planning rather than an assumed add-on.

- Item type, known weight and overall dimensions
- Photographs of the base, supports and vulnerable surfaces
- Pickup and delivery addresses, plus the complete access routes
- Preferred timing, loading windows and site contacts
- The final position and any preparation or technical responsibilities
If a weight or dimension is unknown, say so in your enquiry. JB can identify the information needed before confirming the crew, equipment, transport and price.
Request an equipment assessmentEquipment questions
Can JB coordinate unloading as well as collection?
Yes. Request collection, loading, transport, unloading and final placement in the same brief. Supply receiving-site details so the equipment and access can be assessed at both ends.
Can the equipment be included with transport?
Yes. Request a complete move and include both sites. The agreed quote identifies the lifting, loading, transport, unloading and placement stages.
