Moving supported loads across a floor
Workshop equipment, factory machinery and supported commercial loads may need controlled horizontal movement before they reach a truck. Machinery skates and rollers can be assessed for appropriate routes. Pallet jacks serve suitable palletised or supported loads, with transfers and final positioning included in the plan.
Equipment within this category
Machinery skates
Level movement with appropriate load support, surface and control.
Heavy-duty skate configurations up to 20 tonnes
Rated machinery-skate capability; configuration and load distribution determine suitability.
Load-moving rollers
Assessed horizontal movement and positioning on an appropriate route.
Pallet jacks and pallet trucks
Handling suitable palletised or supported loads between transfer points.
High-lift pallet jacks
Height-adjustment and transfer stages where the platform and item suit the task.
Access details that shape the plan
Photograph the base and support positions, the complete route and every threshold or change in level. Include gradients, floor joints, door openings, turning areas and the loading point. A level-looking route may still need closer review where the floor condition or available clearance changes.
Connect the handling stages
JB’s equipment capability includes machinery-skate configurations rated up to 20 tonnes. That rating does not confirm the suitability of every load or floor. The selected configuration, distribution across supports, route, control and lifting transitions are assessed together. Loading, truck transport and unloading can be included in the same brief.

These original Sydney case studies show relevant JB handling experience. Your equipment and route are assessed for the actual project.

1-Tonne Optical Table Installation
A three-person JB crew installed a one-tonne optical table at the University of Sydney using a HIAB truck and specialist indoor lifting equipment, adjusted its pneumatic supports and removed the crate in a half-day job.

Three brewing vessels — 1 tonne each
Three brewing vessels, each weighing one tonne, relocated from Mona Vale to Brookvale. JB prepared the access route, protected the venue and coordinated pallet handling with a HIAB-equipped truck.

- Item type, known weight and overall dimensions
- Photographs of the base, supports and vulnerable surfaces
- Pickup and delivery addresses, plus the complete access routes
- Preferred timing, loading windows and site contacts
- The final position and any preparation or technical responsibilities
If a weight or dimension is unknown, say so in your enquiry. JB can identify the information needed before confirming the crew, equipment, transport and price.
Request an equipment assessmentEquipment questions
Does a 20-tonne skate rating establish the floor capacity?
No. Equipment ratings and building capacity are separate considerations. The route and support arrangement need assessment for the actual item and site.
Can the equipment be included with transport?
Yes. Request a complete move and include both sites. The agreed quote identifies the lifting, loading, transport, unloading and placement stages.
Is this a live equipment stock list?
This guide explains equipment capabilities. The selected equipment, service arrangement and availability are confirmed for your enquiry.
