JB can coordinate collection, lifting, loading, road transport, unloading and final placement. Discuss the full journey for safes, machinery, stone, commercial equipment or other heavy items, including any transfers between forklifts, gantries, skates, trolleys and the vehicle.
Confirm the item and its preparation
Send the make, model, dimensions and stated empty weight where available. Photos should show the shell, base, surrounds and anything that may need separate preparation. Do not estimate a spa’s weight from its seating capacity alone.
Tell us whether the item is still connected, built into a deck or enclosed by landscaping. Electrical, plumbing, drainage, structural alteration and reinstatement requirements must be identified and assigned to the appropriate trades or specialists.
Map outdoor access before choosing equipment
Photograph the route from the current position to the truck and from the unloading point to the destination. Include side gates, paths, corners, steps, walls, garden beds and any surface changes. Show the narrowest and lowest clearances.
A route that looks open from one end may restrict a large shell at a turn or landing. If a different access method is needed, the work area, preparation and handling sequence must be assessed rather than assumed from a photograph of the final position.
Explain stairs, turns and placement space
For a heavy bath, show whether the item must travel upright, turn on a landing or pass through an internal doorway. Any known manufacturer orientation or support instructions should be supplied before the move is planned.
At the destination, identify the exact placement area and who will prepare it. Moving and placing the item is distinct from connecting, commissioning or installing it. Agree the final handling stage and any follow-on work in the written scope.
What our existing spa and bath work demonstrates
One JB Sydney project involved an eight-person spa moved down two flights, around a turn, over a wall and along a bush path by a six-person crew. Another involved a 250 kg bath with a three-person crew and specialist equipment.
Those are records of specific Sydney jobs. They illustrate why a new Gold Coast enquiry needs its own route and crew assessment, rather than applying an earlier project’s crew size or equipment automatically.

A complete brief helps JB identify the handling stages and prepare a project-specific scope.
- Make, model, dimensions and confirmed empty weight
- Whether the spa or bath is fitted or connected
- Photos of the complete route and tightest points
- Gate, stair, landing and doorway measurements
- Final placement area and preparation responsibilities
Where information is unavailable, say so. The team can explain whether further measurements, photographs or an inspection are needed before the method and price are confirmed.
Start your project enquirySpa & bath removals on the Gold Coast: your questions
Can you assess a spa in a landscaped Gold Coast property?
Yes. Send photos of the full route, not only the spa and driveway. Walls, turns, narrow paths and changing ground levels can materially affect the plan.
Can a heavy bath go upstairs?
Suitability depends on the bath, support requirements and staircase geometry. Include dimensions, weight information and photos of flights and landings for assessment.
Is plumbing or electrical work included?
It must be specifically scoped and assigned to suitable trades. A transport and placement enquiry does not automatically include disconnection, reconnection or commissioning.
